Close rates the sales floor sees the same day, not at month end
Sales performance at Canvas + Loft was discussed from memory at the end of the month. Scoreboard lets each salesperson keep their own score daily, measured against the real foot traffic coming through the door.

managers in the rankings: the leaderboard is salespeople only
The problem
Good salespeople, and no score anyone could check.
Ups, sales and closes were talked about from memory at the end of the month, when it was too late to change anything. Nobody knew how many people had actually walked in, so a close rate was a feeling rather than a number.
- Performance came up monthly, from memory
- Close rates were never measured against real foot traffic
- Compiling month-end figures fell to managers, by hand
How it fits together
- Daily numbers from salespeople
Door counter, every 15 min
- Goals and shifts
- Leaderboard and awards
- TV scoreboard
- Coaching insights
What it does
Keep your own score
Built on the 4DX idea that people play differently when they keep score themselves. Each salesperson enters their own ups, sales and closes every day, against goals set per person.
Real foot traffic
The store door count feeds in every 15 minutes, with history back to 2022, so close rates are measured against people who actually walked in.
Awards and coaching
Monthly awards such as best close rate, plus AI coaching insights drawn from each person's own numbers.
Shifts and TV view
A shift roster and scheduling for the floor, and a TV scoreboard view for the showroom. Roles come from Connect, so salesperson, manager and admin are set once.
Inside Scoreboard
Awards
Monthly, quarterly and yearly titles, with past winners. Nobody claims a title halfway through.
Schedule
Shifts against sales, so a thin Tuesday and a busy Saturday are staffed on purpose.
Real screens from the live system. Names, figures and personal details are blurred.
The impact
A score the floor can act on today.
Measured items come from the system itself. Projected items are our estimate, with the assumption stated, until the client confirms a figure. Staging is verified; production rollout is pending client sign-off.
What the sales floor sees once numbers are entered daily and traffic comes in every 15 minutes.
Assumes managers spent 3 to 4 hours a month compiling figures by hand.
Projected figures. They are our estimate for a business of this size, with the assumptions written under each number below. We replace them with measured results as clients confirm them.
Measured
Monthly → 15 min
between traffic updates behind every close rate
Performance was discussed from memory once a month. The door counter now feeds Scoreboard every 15 minutes.
Measured
1 → 1
the person who makes the sale is the person who records it
Salespeople enter their own daily numbers. Managers hold no quota and do not appear in the rankings.
Projected
~3.5 hrs
of manager time saved each month at month end
Assumes managers spend 3 to 4 hours a month compiling performance figures by hand. Scoreboard keeps the running totals.
