Insight HM
Homeowners see how their home is cared for, without asking
Insight HM remodels luxury homes and looks after them afterwards. We built a workspace where the firm's team runs the work, and a private portal where each homeowner sees only their own home, and only what the firm has approved.

The problem
Looking after a home is ongoing work. The homeowner should be able to see it.
Plans, visits, photos, invoices and documents lived in different places, and homeowners had to ask for an update to know what was happening. For this clientele, privacy and polish are part of the service, so a standard project tracker would not do.
- Homeowners had no single private place to see their home's plan, photos and invoices
- Every home is different, so plans could not come from a fixed list of presets
- Site photos needed a check by the firm before a client ever saw them
How it fits together
- Maintenance plans
- Site photos
- Invoices and documents
- Homeowner portal
- Firm workspace
- Calendar of visits
What it does
Maintenance plan builder
The firm builds each home's plan on a visual canvas, dragging and connecting the pieces, so no home is forced into a preset. Apply a template to a home and the two stay in step.
Homeowner portal
A private sign-in for each homeowner showing projects, photos, invoices and documents for their home. Visits can be added to their own calendar with a standard calendar file.
Photo review
Every site photo is pending, categorized or rejected, and only approved photos reach the homeowner. Files are served through signed links that expire.
Admin workspace
The firm's side, where the team runs projects, plans, photos, invoices and documents for every home. Shaped around the owner's real working day, with anything unused removed.
The impact
One place for the home, for the firm and for the homeowner.
Measured items come from the system itself. Projected items are our estimate, with the assumption stated, until the client confirms a figure.
What the firm gets back when homeowners can see their home without asking.
Assumes 3 hours a week saved on updates and one new home plan a month.
Projected figures. They are our estimate for a business of this size, with the assumptions written under each number below. We replace them with measured results as clients confirm them.
Measured
0
photos reach a homeowner without the firm's review
Every photo passes through pending, categorized or rejected. Only what the firm approves is shown.
Projected
~4 → 1 hrs
a week on client update calls and emails
Assumes the firm spent about four hours a week answering "what is happening with my home", and that most of those questions are now answered by the portal.
Projected
~an afternoon → under 1 hr
to set up a plan for a new home
Assumes a plan used to take an afternoon to write up by hand, and that starting from a plan template brings it under an hour.
